Delhi after losing six matches on the trot showcased a spirited performance on Sunday as they chased a big total against Mumbai comfortably. The biggest boost for the team's confidence came with Sehwag's brave knock that guided them through to their first win. They also saw Jayawardene in good form.

Question is will the out of sort Delhi team be able to capitalise on that brilliant win against Mumbai and continue winning or will they lose track again and languish at the bottom of points table. Overall Rajasthan's team has looked solid at the top order of batting line up. But they need to solidify their brittle middle order. On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab has a mixed season so far. After a winning start to IPL, they lost their way. But a four run victory over defending champs Kolkata Knight Riders will certainly life Punjab's team spirit. 

Bowling wise Punjab is doing well with the likes of Praveen Kumar, Awana and Azhar Mahmood. Piyush Chawla takes care of the spin front and he has to make sure that Hyderabad batsmen don't settle during the middle overs. Gony proved lethal in last match when he came to bat after Narine's hat trick and still showed no signs of fear. He smashed 42 runs from just 18 balls and anchored Punjab's innings to a big score.

Batting for Punjab still remains a concern. Biggest batting assets for Punjab are Gilchrist and David Hussey. Apart from one or two good knocks, they still haven't proved their mettle this year. They need to live up to the expectations of the team and click before its too late.

This could be the match of today and certainly a match of heavy weights. These two teams have always produced nail biters when they face each other. Gayle is unstoppable and so is Chennai Super Kings. So let us see how they stop each other today.

Gayle again proved his mettle by smashing 85 runs not out against the defending champions KKR. Chennai has been able to stop him too early in the past. If Chennai succeeds to do that today, they have the upper hand. Overall it is the Gayle factor that makes the difference between these two evenly matched teams.

Suresh Raina would be another batsman worth watch. Gayle has hit 150 plus sixes in IPL history and the second best in the line is Raina with 97 sixes. If Raina gets going, so does Chennai Super Kings. We can also expect some towering sixes from MS Dhoni.

This time RCB would feel comfortable at their home ground.

RCB faces KKR next after they finish their match against Sunrisers. So a win here would boost their confidence before they play against the defending champions who has won one and lost one so far in this year's IPL. The bowling department of RCB which includes Muralitharan, Unadkat, Henriques, etc. has performed well. Gayle, Kohli and company has batted well except the failures of Dilshan and Mayank Agarwal.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were considered to be one of the weakest teams but they have turned tables on the opposition. They have won both their matches so far and they would strive to win the third one and top the table. Bowling is fired up with Steyn, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Thisara Perera. 

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils (2nd Match)

One of the most popular teams, Mumbai Indians; lost its opening match to RCB but won a thriller against CSK. They now take on Delhi Daredevils at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai recovered well from their two runs loss against RCB when they played against CSK.

MI would like to continue its winning momentum against the visiting team Delhi Daredevils. There is a bit of concern in the consistency of Mumbai Indians batting line up. Rayudu and Sharma need to click whereas Ponting and Sachin need to convert their starts into big scores. Bowling has looked good for Mumbai and once Malinga plays it would look better.

Delhi looks a very depleted side in the absence of injured Pietersen and Ryder. Sehwag wasn't available for first two matches and hopefully he plays in today's match against Mumbai. His presence would provide a lot of strength to the upper half of the batting order.

Delhi Daredevils played two and lost two matches so far in IPL 2013. So they need to pull their socks up before its too late for them in the round robin stage. David Warner has done a good job so far but captain Jaywardene and Indian youngster Unmukt Chand need to contribute more. Even Delhi's bowling can do much better if they have to upgrade their performances and points standings this year.

Mahela Jayawardene led side Delhi Daredevils was a team to beat last year but this year they look brittle in absence of some key players. Kevin Pietersen won't feature this year due to injury. Jesse Ryder suffered a brutal attack few days before the IPL started and hence he won't be able to make it this year. Even swashbuckling opener Sehwag was rested in first match due to back spasms. All these injury issues keep Jayawardene under pressure.

A lot relies on Jayawardene and someone else like David Warner to score as much runs as possible and give their bowlers a fair chance to win. Morne Morkel is a key bowler in Delhi's team and he will join the team after couple of games.

Rajasthan Royals have played Delhi ten times in the past and they have managed to win four. Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians (2nd Match)

The best team so far in the IPL history and last year's runners-up Chennai Super Kings takes on Mumbai Indians at their home ground. This would be a tougher match for Mumbai as they just lost to Rajasthan Royals and now they lock horns with a very strong team of Chennai. Another loss here for Mumbai will put them on back foot!

Not to forget, CSK has brilliant winning record at home. The team would certainly miss the services of some very key players like Morkel, Faf du Plesis, etc who would join the team very soon. Couple of Srilankan players may not play as well due to the ongoing political issues.

The most consistent and best performing captain ever in IPL has been MS Dhoni. He is the only captain to stay unchanged in the IPL history. He scores good amount of runs for the team and leads from the front. Suresh Raina is the biggest batting asset for CSK. They also have good openers like Hussey and Murali Vijay. Badrinath provides a good strength to the middle order. Jadeja performs a good allrounder job in shortest form of cricket.

Mumbai Indians would be desperate for a win and a lot would be expected from Sachin, Ponting, Karthik, Rohit Sharma and Pollard. This team although doesn't look favourite to win in Chennai but they have huge potential to give tough time to Chennai and even create an upset.
