Both the teams enjoyed a well deserved four day rest and now they lock horns to gain two more important points. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Daredevils in their first match followed by another easy win over Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders played opening match of this year's IPL against defending champions Mumbai to emerge as winners. Later they faced Delhi Daredevils and lost to them in a tight match.

Parthiv Patel has done a superb job for RCB as he is the highest run getter for the team so far. He succeeded in both the innings. Yet the more attractive lot out of the squad stays to be Virat, Yuvraj, Gayle, AB de Villiers and Albie Morkel. Even KKR has a good depth in their batting line up. The batting strength begins with the southpaw Gambhir and ends at number eight Piyush Chawla. 

Gautam Gambhir who is eyeing a return to the national team has not scored a run yet in the first two matches. His first aim would be to score a run first or else he will make an unwanted hat-trick of three ducks on the trot. 

A lot of eyes would be set on KKR's bowling sensation Sunil Narine. He has clinched five wickets in eight overs giving away just 38 runs. KKR would rely a lot on him to clinch few important wickets of RCB today.

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders have a lot of stuff to do as they are languishing at 7th position. They have one win and one loss in their two IPL 2013 matches so far. KKR has played RCB ten times in the past and both teams have managed to win five matches each. Winner here at M Chinnaswamy Stadium will take a lead in head to head stats.

Pune Warriors India vs Rajasthan Royals (2nd Match) at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune

Agreed so far Pune Warriors team looks the weakest of all, but you never know! Cricket is very well known as the game of uncertainties and IPL is a long tournament. It is too early to speculate anything about any team. Pune Warriors need couple of wins to boost their confidence and be on winning track.

It has been a dismal performance so far from the Pune's team as they lost both their matches so far. On the other hand the underdogs Rajasthan Royals have won both their matches. So Pune can create an upset if they pull up their socks for an exceptional match winning performance at home.

Yuvraj Singh returns back after sore back and he alongwith Samuels and Ross Taylor can create wonders for the team. Inclusion of Steve Smith can also boost team's confidence as ideally he needs to be a part of playing eleven.

Rajasthan Royals has done a good job so far with lovely contributions from Rahul Dravid, Rahane, Binny, Trivedi, etc. This team relies more onto the pace attack, so a healthy contribution from the spin department can make this team look even stronger.

1st Match:- Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab

MA Chidambaram Stadium hosts the 37th match of IPL 2012 between CSK and Kings XI. CSK who are the defending champions have lacked lustre this year but as we all know they are the best team when it comes to bouncing back! They bounce back really hard just to clinch the finals! They are currently placed on the third position with four wins out of eight matches and a rain wash out against Bangalore. A win today can take them to the second position if Kolkata losses against RCB.

Chennai Super Kings has been benefited with some good wins against Rajasthan Royals and Pune Warriors in the last week. The batsmen in good form for CSK are Badrinath and Faf du Plesis. Suresh Raina is a star batsman for CSK and once he finds his lost form, the batting line up would look more dangerous. Albie Morkel, Dhoni, Bravo and Dhoni add up to the strength of this batting line up. Kulasekara, Bollinger, Morkel, Ashwin, Jakati, Jadeja and Yo Mahesh provide a huge inventory of bowling options to the skipper MS Dhoni. This team can still be considered as one of the favourites to go ahead and life the trophy.

Kings XI Punjab has had a miserable start to this year's league. But slolwy they are trying to gain the momentum. Although they are lagging behind on the second last position of points tally, but they are narrowly seperated from Mumbai Indians or Pune Warriors. A couple of wins can help them topple few teams on the points table. The pillar stones for Punjab's batting line up has been the Australian duo Shaun Marsh and David Hussey. Praveen Kumar couldn't clinch notable wickets so far but he can trouble Chennai batsmen with his swing bowling. Piyush Chawla was too expensive in his last match otherwise he is a good leg spin bowler to have in the team.

If we think of a prediction for today's match it seems Punjab would provide a good resistance playing away but finally Chennai will clinch a win here.

2nd Match:- Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders

Royal Challengers Bangalore are undoubtedly the most royal team amongst all. They have a royal batting line up which consists of match turners like Kohli, Gayle, AB de Villiers and Dilshan. This team has regained its form after a bad start to IPL 2012. They can't take things easy from hereon as even they are narrowly separated from other teams in the points tally. 

The Eden Gardens will observe a clash of heavyweights as both these teams have 9 points and a better net run rate keeps Kolkata above Bangalore. If rain doesn't play a spoil sport we all would enjoy a flurry of runs when batsmen like McCullum, Gambhir, Yusuf Pathan, Kallis, Gayle, Dilshan and Kohli would play to entertain the crowd.

Will this again be a day for Chris Gayle - the powerhouse or will it be someone like McCullum who would play a swashbuckling innings to take Kolkata home? Or will it be a day that would belong to bowlers like Brett Lee, Narine, Shakib Al Hasan, Vettori or Zaheer Khan. We all need to wait and watch!
