Ferozshah Kotla lately hasn't been a good hunting ground for the home team. Delhi Daredevils have lost their last nine matches here. They would be eager to register a win here after such a long time. On the other hand we have Mumbai Indians who got a very poor start to the IPL this season. They suffered four losses on the trot. Their first win came in the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of Mumbai Indians is in a sparkling form. He has consistently contributed to the team's total. But the team needs consistent scorers to support him. At times Corey Anderson plays a blinder and at times its Harbhajan or Pollard. They need good contributions from the top order batsmen. Even the bowling hasn't been upto the mark. Lasith Malinga is always good with is yorkers but he hasn't been as effective as he used to be. Harbhajan Singh is doing a great job not only with the ball but also with the bat.

Talking about Delhi's skipper JP Duminy, he can do well with both bat and ball. His one all round performance can turn tables on the opposition. Shreyas Iyer needs to be good at the top to lay a good run foundation. Likes of Yuvraj Singh have been good in patches. The 33 year old all rounder has to contribute more if the team has to win.

Overall both the teams have won nine matches each while playing against each other. Last year Delhi defeated Mumbai at Sharjah. In the return fixture, Mumbai returned the favours to Delhi with brilliant knocks from Michael Hussey and Lendl Simmons.

Delhi Daredevils will next face Royal Challengers Bangalore on 26th April at home. Mumbai Indians will host Sunrisers Hyderabad on 25th April.

This time RCB would feel comfortable at their home ground.

RCB faces KKR next after they finish their match against Sunrisers. So a win here would boost their confidence before they play against the defending champions who has won one and lost one so far in this year's IPL. The bowling department of RCB which includes Muralitharan, Unadkat, Henriques, etc. has performed well. Gayle, Kohli and company has batted well except the failures of Dilshan and Mayank Agarwal.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were considered to be one of the weakest teams but they have turned tables on the opposition. They have won both their matches so far and they would strive to win the third one and top the table. Bowling is fired up with Steyn, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Thisara Perera. 

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils (2nd Match)

One of the most popular teams, Mumbai Indians; lost its opening match to RCB but won a thriller against CSK. They now take on Delhi Daredevils at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai recovered well from their two runs loss against RCB when they played against CSK.

MI would like to continue its winning momentum against the visiting team Delhi Daredevils. There is a bit of concern in the consistency of Mumbai Indians batting line up. Rayudu and Sharma need to click whereas Ponting and Sachin need to convert their starts into big scores. Bowling has looked good for Mumbai and once Malinga plays it would look better.

Delhi looks a very depleted side in the absence of injured Pietersen and Ryder. Sehwag wasn't available for first two matches and hopefully he plays in today's match against Mumbai. His presence would provide a lot of strength to the upper half of the batting order.

Delhi Daredevils played two and lost two matches so far in IPL 2013. So they need to pull their socks up before its too late for them in the round robin stage. David Warner has done a good job so far but captain Jaywardene and Indian youngster Unmukt Chand need to contribute more. Even Delhi's bowling can do much better if they have to upgrade their performances and points standings this year.

Delhi Daredevils look invincible with star players in their team. Virender Sehwag looks in a sparkling form as he scored a very quick 87 runs against Pune Warriors. Kevin Pieterson is in brilliant form with 214 runs to his name in just five innings. Ross Taylor and Mahela Jayawardene are another two stars strengthening Delhi's batting line up.

Irfan Pathan and the purple cap owner Morkel provide good stability to Delhi's bowling unit. Umesh Yadav got a flying start to this IPL but in the last two matches he looked out of touch. This bowling unit of Delhi can put Mumbai Indians under pressure at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium.

Mumbai Indians clinched a good win against Punjab to get back to the winning ways. Rayudu, Rohit Sharma and Pollard are doing a good job with the bat. A good quick knock is awaited from Sachin Tendulkar. Mumbai's bowling has been completely distorted in the recent matches. Munaf Patel who looked in a very good form earlier leaked away loads of runs. Harbhajan Singh and RP Singh are not in the best of their forms. Absence of Lasith Malinga is clearly felt in the Mumbai's bowling camp.
