Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils

Two teams that are lingering down at the bottom of the points table. They have nothing to lose now. Not too late but can't wait anymore. They need to kick off their winning ways. Mumbai is still winless whereas Delhi managed just one win out of four matches they played. Mumbai will play its fourth match today. Three to four straight wins in a row is what these two teams need.

The opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Murali Vijay seems to be well settled. They are followed by capable unit of batting line up that comprises of Pietersen, Duminy and Dinesh Karthik. Speculations are high that Delhi may bring Duminy up the order as he is in sparkling form. Mumbai's batting line up looks in dismal form. So Parnell and Shami would like to capitalise on this.

Mumbai Indians could manage scores of 121, 115 and 141 in their first three matches. That shows how badly the team is struggling while posting good totals. Hussey didn't fit into the schemes of the team so far so they can look to drop him and give Dunk an opportunity. Or they can bring Pollard and Anderson up the order and ask Rohit Sharma to open the innings.

The bowling line up for Mumbai looks strong but the batsmen have failed to post a total good enough to defend. Zaheer and Malinga are doing a good job in the pace attack. Harbhajan and Ojha are capable enough to pressurise the opposition with their quality spin attack. Can Mumbai break its winless record today or will Delhi register its second win and gain some momentum? Let us wait and watch. Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

This could be a match of two big hitting teams. And such a match is always a pleasure to watch when we are talking about the shortest version of cricket. Good part is both the teams have returned from a win in their last match. Especially Chennai has proved yet again that no one bounces back as well as they do. After losing first match they won three on the trot and won them all comprehensively.

For Sunrisers the biggest issue till the last match was drought of runs from the top order. Any team would feel proud to possess a top order like Dhawan, Finch and Warner. But they didn't click until they played in their last match against Delhi Daredevils. Similarly Chennai feels proud with powerful hitters up the order like McCullum and Dwayne Smith. Not to forget they have a long batting line up that consists of Raina and Dhoni too.

Sunrisers have played against Chennai twice and lost both the matches to them. They would be itching to clinch a win against the strong Chennai whereas Chennai would love to register another win and seal their second position in the points tally. You beat CSK badly and they bounce back like no one else does. After losing a match against Pune Warriors, CSK bounced back to win seven matches on the trot. They equaled RCB's record of seven straight wins but their match came to a hault against Mumbai Indians. Chennai Super Kings is again shaken with a below average performance and all they can do now is 'bounce back'.

Chennai Super Kings travel to Hyderabad to face Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chennai is almost in to the play-offs but one win would seal their berth. Beating Hyderabad in Hyderabad is not an easy task. Especially when Sunrisers are in such a brilliant form at home. Not to forget even Sunrisers are in the race for play-offs berth.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's weakest point is their batting. Although Shikhar Dhawan has provided a good base at the top of the batting order but he still misses the company of a good opener. Sangakkara has managed just 117 runs from 8 matches which is a worry for the team. Perera is a dynamic player and a valuable asset for the team. Inclusion of Sammy in the team has done all good for the team.

This would be a nice contest between Sunrisers bowling and Super Kings batting

Bowling department of Hyderabad can easily be called one of the best this year. Dale Steyn can feel proud about his bowling figures in all the matches. Amit Mishra has clinched enough wickets to be in the race of the Purple Cap which is held by Chennai's Bravo at this moment. Karan Sharma and Ishant Sharma have been tidy with their bowling.

Talking about the visiting team Chennai Super Kings, Michael Hussey is few runs short of Chris Gayle to clinch back the Orange Cap. Murali Vijay could be a wrong choice for the playing eleven in presence of the impressive Saha. Raina has regained his form but he needs to be careful of his early shot selections and consistency of course. Mohit Sharma along with Bravo is doing a good job in the bowling line up. If R Ashwin can start picking up more wickets, CSK can be a better team in terms of the bowling department.

This match promises to be a tight contest as both the teams are equally matched. Points wise Chennai is in a comfortable position but they can't take Hyderabad lightly that is hunting for a win.

The last couple wins were registered against Pune Warriors India and Kings XI Punjab. Hopefully a break of 5 days won't break their winning momentum.

We have no head to head count this time as the new entrant Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Chennai Super Kings for the first time ever in IPL history. It would be an absolute treat to watch the likes of Steyn and Amit Mishra bowling against Hussey, Dhoni and Raina. We can also expect some heroics from Ravindra Jadeja who failed miserably with ball and bat against Rajasthan Royals in the last match.

After this match CSK will play KKR at home and Sunrisers will fly to Jaipur to lock horns with the Rajasthan Royals.
