Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Daredevils

This could be the brightest opportunity for Sunrisers to clinch a win here as they would face the inconsistent Delhi Daredevils. The Daredevils have played three matches so far with two losses and one win. Kevin Pietersen is likely to play today and this could be a confidence booster for the team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is a very strong team on paper with players like Dhawan, Sammy, Steyn, Mishra, David Warner and Aaron Finch. So such a good bowling line up and strongest of hitters, the team looks full of power. But they fail to convert good starts into big innings and close matches in to wins. In short the team needs to gain some killer instinct and they would be hard to beat.

For Delhi Daredevils, a lot of reliance is on the shoulders of Karthik and Duminy. Pietersen's return may add some relief to the batting line up. Bowling wise they are relatively weaker in the spin department as Nadeem or Duminy couldn't impress much with the bowling.

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians

You can certainly expect a lot of attention and fireworks when two of the most popular IPL teams lock horns. Two times champions Chennai Super Kings take on the defending champions Mumbai Indians. The only thing common between these two teams this year has been the disappointing start to the IPL. But CSK has recovered well meanwhile Mumbai Indians look completely demoralised.

CSK lost their opening match to Kings XI Punjab even after posting 205 runs on board. Cricket fans started to write this team off but they forget CSK's ability to bounce back hard. Later they won against Delhi Daredevils by 93 runs and won against Rajasthan Royals by seven runs. That has placed them in the top three teams of the points table. Raina is in good form but Smith looks in a better touch. McCullum can be very dangerous meanwhile Faf or Dhoni can provide a good support in the middle order. Ashwin, Mohit Sharma, Ishwar Pandey and Jadeja have done a great job so far.

Mumbai Indians look completely lost. They haven't looked like winning so far. Nothing is working for them. They need to gather their confidence back and bounce back hard. They have run machine Michael Hussey and explosive all rounder like Pollard. Some runs from Rohit Sharma's bat can come in handy for the team. Malinga is the most reliable bowler in IPL history and he has always been a plus point.

Delhi Daredevils vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad is on fourth position with two wins out of three matches. They take on Delhi Daredevils which are lingering at the bottom of the table with three defeats on the trot.

Last year two teams that performed the best in the first phase of IPL viz. DD and KKR aren't too impressive this year. Although this is too early to speculate anything but still its good for these teams if they recover early. 

Delhi Daredevils would enjoy home conditions here at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium but they would be under more pressure due to three losses so far. Sehwag's availability is certainly a boost for the team. But at the same time he isn't one of the most consistent players you would see around. If he gets going he is the most dangerous batsman in the world. But if he isn't in good touch, he is the cheapest customer!

The team expects a bit more from the skipper Jayawardene as well. Meanwhile David Warner has played beautifully so far and his consistency would be a key to the team. Morne Morkel is the primary bowler for them and its good for the team if he gains his rhythm at the earliest.

It would be good to see a tough contest between two good fast bowlers in this match viz. Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn. Steyn has been the most important part of the Sunrisers' bowling line up. Sangakkara led team has shown signs of threat to the other big teams. Considered as a new entrant to this year's IPL, this team isn't treated as favourites but they certainly are underdogs.

Delhi has a better winning record when it plays away so Sunrisers can capitalise on this statistic and try to register a win at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. On the other hand, it is almost a must win situation for Delhi Daredevils because after three losses now they can hardly afford a defeat.

Let us expect a good knock from Sehwag and Steyn providing him a stiff competition with the ball. Let us expect many such face offs in this match of Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
