Kings XI Punjab tour to Delhi to face the home team Delhi Daredevils. Both have shared similar fortunes this year. They haven't seen much of success so far. Both the teams are languishing in the bottom half of points tally. Kings is at the bottom while Delhi is at sixth position.

Delhi Daredevils have match winners but all they lack is a killer instinct. They need to go out there and play to win! Yuvraj Singh has given an indication that Zaheer Khan might play today. That would be a big boost in the bowling line up.

For Kings XI Punjab, nothing has went right. They have been good in patches but in the end they are at the losing end. They are completely the opposite of what they were in 2014 IPL edition. Lack of form from Miller, Maxwell and Sehwag is hurting them the most. Even the bowling line up isn't that effective this year. On the contrary, Rajasthan Royals are sitting on second position with 12 points (just below CSK). The team has gone a little off track since Watson returned as captain. He has to score more runs for the team tonight. Ajinkya Rahane knows this stadium well and he would be the ace for RR tonight.

Sunrisers Hyderabad play at Visakhapatnam today to end their home matches with a win. But achieving it against defending champions KKR won't be easy. KKR have played like champs and stay steady on third position with six points. They have chased pretty well in last two matches. Talking about the last one, they restricted hosts Delhi Daredevils to 146 and chased the target easily.

Sunrisers need to rely a lot on openers Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. Although these two have played well the team has lost close encounters. Its not that the team hasn't been competitive. But they haven't been upto the mark to win close finishes. With a good bowling line up, the batsmen need to give them bigger totals to defend.

The other match for the day comprises of two high profile teams. The biggest similarity between these two teams is the big hitters they boast of. Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith, Raina, Dhoni and Faf du Plessis form a good batting line up for CSK. Whereas Gayle, AB de Villiers and Kohli make RCB batting pretty formidable. 

RCB will enjoy the home conditions here at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Mitchell Starc will add a lot of strength to the bowling line up. While both these teams have lost their last matches, they would look badly for a win tonight. CSK must be ready to pull up their socks after their first defeat in IPL 2015 against KKR.

Royal Challengers Bangalore riding on Gayle's big knock thumped defending champions KKR in their last match. Once an impossible task to win looked so easy when Gayle got going. Before getting run out he had scored enough to see his team home. Even AB de Villiers played a small knock that came in handy. Virat Kohli is still due for a big one.

The overall performance for the team as a whole wasn't satisfactory. The bowling and fielding were below standard. Even the batting line up crumbled before Gayle took the charge to give two points to the team. He has set an example in this format of the game. He has played most number of T20s and has highest number of runs, sixes, centuries and fifties to his name. The only concern could be his fitness and inconsistency.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has always pitched in the best bowling line up since last few years. Even their batsmen have been able to score big. But luck has hardly favoured this team. They too could be termed as under-achievers just like Royal Challengers Bangalore. These two teams deserve much more than what they have got so far.

SRH needs to revisit all the strategies if they have to start winning more games. David Warner leads the side and he could be highly influential. He is a dangerous opening batsmen when he gets going. He has a good support of Shikhar Dhawan who consistently scores run for the team.

After a shaky start, Rajasthan Royal's captain Smith anchored the innings. Good knocks by the lower middle order batsmen took RR to a good score. One of the most fancied teams Mumbai Indians lock horns with Kings XI Punjab at Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Indians suffered a loss against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2015 opening match. They need to pull up their socks if they have to beat Kings XI Punjab.

Rohit Sharma smashed a good 98 just to see the team lose against KKR at the Eden Gardens. He would love to better his performance at Mumbai Indian's home ground. He would also expect some good performances from fellow batsmen and as well as the bowling line up.

Kings XI Punjab earned a lot of name, fame and fans last year when they dominated against every single team. Maxwell, Bailey, Sehwag and company marched to the finals with lot of wins. But they saw a defeat against KKR in the finals. Maxwell is due for a big one and so is Sehwag. Even the bowlers must have rolled up their sleeves for a win at Wankhede.

Rajasthan Royals will never forget their first ever title win when Shane Warne lead the team. Since then they haven't seen that amount of success. Since both these teams have tried to retain a lot of players, they stayed a bit silent in the IPL auction. With not a lot of rejig in the squad, we can expect similar roles and tactics from the team think tanks.

Kings XI probably hosts the most explosive batting department this year. Sehwag, Maxwell and Miller are match winners while Murali Vijay can be rock solid. Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha add a lot of value to the middle order with George Bailey. Bowling attack looks decent with Mitchell Johnson, Axar Patel, Sandeep Sharma and Parvinder Awana.

For Rajasthan Royals the story is little bit similar. Watson, Samson and Smith can handle the batting pressure along with solid Ajinkya Rahane. Tim Southee can lead the bowling attack with Faulkner, Watson, Binny, Dhawal Kulkarni and Tambe.

Although Rajasthan Royals have bettered out Kings XI Punjab in head to head count, the Punjabi team will do all possible things to go one match up in the stats so far.

He also enjoys a strong opening option of Robin Uthappa along with him and Surya Kumar Yadav, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hasan and Manish Pandey in the middle order. Bowlers like Morne Morkel, Sunil Narine and Shakib Al Hasan will provide a good bowling strength to the team.

MI has an equally good batting line up. Aaron Finch, Unmukt Chand, Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Corey Anderson play an important role in the batting department. Experience of Lasith Malinga and Harbhajan Singh would be a key with the ball.

In yet another grand auction for Indian Premier League (IPL 2015), we saw a lot of players getting shuffled into some other teams. The biggest one was Yuvraj Singh moving to Delhi Daredevils that too for a mind boggling 16,00,00,000 Indian National Rupees (16 Crores INR). Unfortunately he wasn't picked for India's 2015 Cricket World Cup team. Total 349 players were auctioned out of which 67 were sold. 43 out of these were Indians and rest were overseas players. Further bifurcating it, 33 of them were capped players while 34 were uncapped. The total amount spent in this year's IPL auction was more than 87 Crore Indian Rupees.

Dinesh Karthik was clinched by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 10.5 Crore Rupees.
