One of the most fancied teams Mumbai Indians lock horns with Kings XI Punjab at Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Indians suffered a loss against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2015 opening match. They need to pull up their socks if they have to beat Kings XI Punjab.

Rohit Sharma smashed a good 98 just to see the team lose against KKR at the Eden Gardens. He would love to better his performance at Mumbai Indian's home ground. He would also expect some good performances from fellow batsmen and as well as the bowling line up.

Kings XI Punjab earned a lot of name, fame and fans last year when they dominated against every single team. Maxwell, Bailey, Sehwag and company marched to the finals with lot of wins. Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab

Both these teams seem to have regained their form and started winning. Kings XI Punjab who never reached the top four positions in points table has all the chances to make it to the play-offs. All they need is to win consistently from now on. Mumbai Indians morale would be boosted after they defeated the mighty Royal Challengers Bangalore at home.

Mumbai Indians cherish the home conditions and hence they have an upper hand. They have plenty of batsmen who are now in form. Even Sachin's small contributions are laying down a good foundation to the innings. Smith at the top is in good form. Karthik and Rohit Sharma are consistently contributing. Pollard and Harbhajan can add some quick runs at the end.

For Kings XI Punjab, form of David Hussey and Adam Gilchrist is a concern. But Mandeep Singh and David Miller are in good nick and scoring a lot for team wins. Head to head count gives Kings XI Punjab the benefit whereas home conditions favours Mumbai Indians in this match.
