Both the teams enjoyed a well deserved four day rest and now they lock horns to gain two more important points. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Daredevils in their first match followed by another easy win over Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders played opening match of this year's IPL against defending champions Mumbai to emerge as winners. Later they faced Delhi Daredevils and lost to them in a tight match.
Parthiv Patel has done a superb job for RCB as he is the highest run getter for the team so far. He succeeded in both the innings. Yet the more attractive lot out of the squad stays to be Virat, Yuvraj, Gayle, AB de Villiers and Albie Morkel. Even KKR has a good depth in their batting line up. The batting strength begins with the southpaw Gambhir and ends at number eight Piyush Chawla.
Gautam Gambhir who is eyeing a return to the national team has not scored a run yet in the first two matches. His first aim would be to score a run first or else he will make an unwanted hat-trick of three ducks on the trot.
A lot of eyes would be set on KKR's bowling sensation Sunil Narine. He has clinched five wickets in eight overs giving away just 38 runs. KKR would rely a lot on him to clinch few important wickets of RCB today.
