Rajasthan Royals are placed on the second spot of points tally under the roaring Chennai Super Kings. Rajasthan would look for win today and regain their top spot in the points table. They were well lead by Steve Smith before Watson made a return as full time captain. He has did a great job as the captain but team saw two defeats under him. The management had to rest Tim Southee for his return. Chris Morris has proved his worth in the team. Ajinkya Rahane is consistent with his bat. There are good amount of expectations from Deepak Hooda, Steve Smith and James Faulkner.

Kolkata Knight Riders have played well so far. They are placed on third position in the points tally. Just like SRH, a lot relies on the opening pair of KKR. Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa shined last year with good opening partnerships. The case is pretty similar this time but Gautam has batted better than Robin. Yusuf Pathan, Andre Russell and Morne Morkel are doing a decent job. Sunil Narine need to shine like he did last year.

The second match will be between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Delhi Daredevils will enjoy the home advantage at Ferozshah Kotla stadium in Delhi. Shreyas Iyer played a match winning knock last time for Delhi Daredevils. Yuvraj Singh is yet to prove his mettle. JP Dumminy is a brilliant all rounder and a good captain too. Imran Tahir tops the wicket lists and proudly holds the purple cap. Amit Mishra gives him a good support.

Royal Challengers are struggling to earn points but they succeeded in winning the last match. Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli form an integral part of the team. If they all click in tandem, probability of RCB winning multiplies. David Wiese can provide important breakthroughs along with Iqbal Abdulla and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chennai Super Kings has to win this match if they have to stay alive in IPL 2012. So is the case of Kings XI Punjab. So this promises to be a nail biter. Chennai Super Kings continues their trend of bouncing back hard in the final phase of IPL. If they have to stay away from the net run rate permutations and combinations they simply need to win this one.

Punjab was doing a great job in last few matches until they lost one against Delhi Daredevils in their last match. A win there could have provided them an upper hand in this face off. They have 14 points and two wins will take them to 18 points. If they lose here it is almost all over for them in IPL 2012.

Michael Hussey, Faf du Plessis and lately Murali Vijay has provided good amount of runs whereas Raina and Dhoni haven't contributed to their potential. Morkel, Bravo and Jadeja have contributed some brilliant all round performances to take CSK home.

David Hussey is doing a pretty good job in absence of skipper Gilchrist. Shaun Marsh and Mandeep Singh are the two batting stars whereas Piyush Chawla, Azhar Mahmood and Parwinder Awana are doing brilliant job with the ball.

2nd Match - Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore is a very popular team amongst the fans because it is fancied with the Gayle storm. Anyone and eveyone would love to watch Gayle while he bats. Similarly the team is full of other powerful hitters viz. Kohli, Dilshan and AB de Villiers. 

RCB is desperate for a win whereas Delhi is relieved with an assured place in the play-offs. RCB scored 170 plus but they lost to Mumbai Indians in the last match. So bowling for RCB stays inconsistent. Ideally RCB would prefer to chase rather than bat first.

Delhi Daredevils is over dependant on the top batting order. So this would be a good practice match for Delhi to try their middle order strength. Meanwhile Sehwag, Naman Ojha, Jayawardene and Warner can do a great job for DD.
