Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals IPL Match 10 Preview

CSK vs RR Live on Star Sports, Go Cricket and Sony Six in India
While you all must be still mesmerised with the Maxwell innings yesterday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, we shift the focus towards a big match today - Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals. This is 10th match of IPL 2014 and things have already been a lot interesting. Enjoy live streaming of this match on Star Sports and Go Cricket in India, live telecast in India on Sony Six TV channel.

This is how the points table looks right now:

Kings XI Punjab is riding high on the success of Maxwell. They have six points with an impressive net run rate of 1.68. Chennai is placed on third sport. If they win today they would move on second position thanks to their brilliant net run rate of 2.08. Rajasthan Royals are placed on fifth spot and even they can move on second or most probably third spot if they clinch a win here.

CSK started their campaign with a big score against Kings XI Punjab which ultimately went to Punjab due to a brilliant 95 runs innings from Maxwell. They badly needed a morale booster win and they did it against Delhi. CSK pulled their biggest win so far in terms of runs when they defeated Delhi by 93 runs. That improved their net run rate by leaps and bounds.

Rajasthan Royals started their campaign with a win but similar to CSK, lost their second match to Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI seems to be a team to beat at this moment! But not to forget, IPL is full of crests and troughs. It is not going to be easy for any team in forthcoming matches.

Both CSK and RR had similar woes against Kings XI. After posting a decent total they lost to Kings XI, due to some loose bowling. They need to gather everything in terms of their bowling attack before they could think of a win here. A lot depends on Ashwin, Hilfenhaus, Mohit Sharma and Badree (for CSK) if he is to play today. Similarly Rajasthan Royals would depend on Faulkner, Tambe, Bhatia, Cooper and many more to name. Shane Watson has to pick the right combination to beat the best IPL team.

Here is a sensible tweet from CSK's coach Stephen Fleming - Good starts would really help in such big games.
