Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner have given good starts to the SRH team in the past against MI. But at this moment, its only Warner who is in good form. Shikhar Dhawan is struggling with single digit scores so far.

For Mumbai Indians, Lasith Malinga has been ruled out of the season. Lendl Simmons also had to be left out due to injury. MI would hope some wonders from New Zealand hard hitting batsman Martin Guptill. Rohit Sharma had a great day against KKR at the Eden Gardens. MI fans would be eager to see a similar knock from their captain tonight.

Kieron Pollard has engineered a lot of wins for the Mumbai Indians in the past. It is very important for him to get back to his form. He has struggled so far with his batting. One good knock and we would see his supreme in the coming matches.

Since both the teams are badly looking for a win tonight to improve their standings in the IPL points table, there is a high potential for few outstanding performances. With most of the matches ending in favour of the chasing team, the captains would be tempted to bowl first.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are always a 'team to beat'. What a batting line up they boast of with the presence of Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The bowling line up may leak a bit of runs but they have good campaigners like Samuel Badree, Iqbal Abdulla, Varun Aaron, David Wiese, Parvez Rasool, Mandeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, etc. A lot of options to select from.

Delhi Daredevils are considered to be one of the weakest teams in the IPL. They lost miserably against Kolkata Knight Riders. It was a pleasant sight to see them bounce back hard against Punjab. India's most successful IPL bowler Amit Mishra was at the top of his form when he clinched four wickets for hardly any runs. With players like Sanju Samson, Zaheer Khan, Imran Tahir, Pawan Negi. Duminy, Quinton de Kock, Nathan Coulter-Nile, etc this line up deserves many more wins!

As usual, RCB begins their IPL journey with a tag of favourites. They have been the most fancied teams in the IPL with no title wins at all. Chris Gayle would be on cloud nine after his team won the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2016. He would be ready all guns blazing to perform for his IPL franchise in Bengaluru. AB de Villiers too have had some great outings with RCB. Shane Watson's inclusion should naturally be a big boost for the team's chances to win the IPL this time.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a great outing some two years ago. Last year they had a disappointing season. The team heavily relies on the performance of their openers Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. Unfortunately none of these two did well in the T20 World Cup that was played in India.

The good part is the inclusion of Ashish Nehra and Mustafizur Rahman in the bowling department. Ashish Nehra has just done a great job under Dhoni's team in CSK. Now he would be a good contributor for SRH this season. Mustafizur, just like Nehra was extremely successful in the T20 world cup. Even Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Karn Sharma can come in handy for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians have made only seven buys this year. Jos Buttler is their most expensive purchase this year. Slowly the English players are making an entry into the IPL. Kevin Pietersen has another new franchise - Pune SuperGiants. 

Lasith Malinga, the highest wicket taker in the IPL history may miss few matches this year due to injury. MI would prefer Mitchell McClenaghan. Other prominent faces that may play today would be Kieron Pollard, Harbhajan Singh and Corey Anderson. 

Supergiants have to rely on the overseas players for batting while they have picked a lot of Indian bowlers in the squad. So the bowling options available for MS Dhoni would be Ashwin, Ishwar Pandey, Ishant Sharma, Dinda or Irfan Pathan. 

Wankhede being a venue for loads of runs, we can expect a bad day for bowlers but good day for batsmen and spectators!
