Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad - IPL 2015 Match 11

After a long wait, Delhi Daredevils breaks its winless streak last night! Teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad can take a lot of confidence from such a performance. Rajasthan Royals is on a roll right now and Sunrisers would love to stop Royals' juggernaut at ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Sunrisers Hyderabad have always had a strong team pitched in, especially their bowling attack. But they have always been sort of underachievers. This year they started off with a loss against Chennai Super Kings. This was followed by a morale boosting win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their own backyard.

Sunrisers would be pleased to play here at Visakhapatnam, their home venue. They had a pre-season camp here so the players are well used to the playing conditions here. Hence the players would be keen to clinch two points here against the in form Rajasthan Royals.

Shane Watson has been unfit for first three matches. His absence hasn't affected the team's performance at all. Infact Steve Smith has lead the team with example. He has consistently scored runs with the bat. Deepak Hooda is a surprise package this year. Cricket fans and critics are impressed with his hard hitting batting style. 

SRH would eye big innings from openers Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. Longer they bat, stronger would be their foundation. They also need to bowl well to contain strong batting line up of Rajasthan Royals.

SRH will play next against Delhi Daredevils at the same venue on 18th April. RR will face the mighty Chennai Super Kings at Ahmedabad on 19th April. Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab

When two kings collide it is certainly a royal tussle! One of the most consistent IPL team headed by uber cool Dhoni will take on a fresh looking Kings XI Punjab led by George Bailey. Most exciting factor for Indian fans would be to see Virender Sehwag playing first time for a new team viz. Kings XI Punjab. He has been dropped from Delhi and acquired by Punjab this year. Let us hope he gets into his golden touch and scores heavily.

Chennai Super Kings have had a tough time in the finals in last two years. After winning 2010 and 2011 edition they lost to KKR in 2012 finals and to Mumbai Indians in the 2013 finals. None other team has been as performing every single year as this team does. So there are a lot of expectations from this team in the midst of all spot fixing investigation.

CSK has retained players like Dhoni, Jadeja, Ashwin and Bravo but they moved on from reliable Hussey which was a shocker. Not to forget they are still very strong with the likes of Faf du Plesis, McCullum,  Hilfenhaus, Mohit Sharma and many more. Meanwhile Kings XI retained Miller and Vohra only. They have Shaun Marsh, Johnson, Sehwag, Pujara, Bailey, Mandeep Singh and many more to name which actually makes them a stronger outfit this time atleast on paper. Good to have two tough teams battling out there in the UAE for a good start to their IPL campaigns. 

Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad did equally well in last IPL just to see themselves eliminated in the qualifiers/knockouts. Rajasthan Royals' best performance was in 2008 when they clinched the inaugural IPL trophy under Shane Warne. They were one of the favourites to win the IPL last year after the group stages but they couldn't  continue their good form in the knock outs.

Deccan Charges good a fresh look after they got a new owner and they were renamed as Sunrisers Hyderabad. They are always considered as underdogs where they are good enough to create some major upsets. They retained Steyn and Dhawan who are their best bits. Warner, Mishra, Sammy, Ishant, Irfan Pathan, Henriques and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar further strengthen their squad.

Rajasthan Royals will miss the services of Rahul Dravid but they have retained some strong players like Faulkner, Watson (captain this time), Rahane, Binny and Samson. Their notable team members are Southee, Steven Smith, Unmukt Chand, Kevon Cooper, Pravin Tambe, Hodge and Bhatia

This IPL showcased more of the off-field stuffs that include showing frustration over umpire's decision, over enjoyment on taking a wicket, etc. Although these stuffs don't add any value to this gentlemen's game but it certainly adds the 'entertainment' factor for the crowd. Let us hope the game is played in its true spirits till the end and we see teams neck to neck not only in points tally but also in the fairplay award.

Rajasthan takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad for IPL's match number 68. Rajasthan Royals is already through but they would win this won to try and get a position in the top two! Meanwhile Sunrisers Hyderabad are still very much in the race of play-offs and they will have to win this one to stay in contention.

Hyderabad were doing pretty well until they faced Mumbai Indians. This match remained in favour of Hyderabad until Pollard hammered Perera for lot of sixes. Pollard clinched an unbelievable win for Mumbai Indians thus putting Hyderabad in a big trouble. Now Hyderabad is in a must win situation against Rajasthan. 

The good part is Hyderabad's batting has improved in last few games. Bowling was always their strength but against Mumbai; sans Steyn, everyone else disappointed. Dale Steyn has bowled  his heart out in this IPL exactly the way he did last year. Although he doesn't get too many wickets, but he troubles the batsmen the most with his quality quick bowling. A lot would be expected from Karan Sharma, Amit Mishra and Ishant Sharma, if they can provide a good support to the frontline bowler Dale Steyn.

Meanwhile Rajasthan Royals have suffered a 14 runs loss against Mumbai Indians. A win against Mumbai could have taken them to second position. Dravid wasn't happy with umpire's decision and it is something new for all of us to see the "Wall" reacting in anger after the decision. Even Watson was disappointed after his dismissal after Pollard's reaction to his catch.
Dravid and Rahane have been the cornerstones for Rajasthan's batting so far. They have to contribute well if this team has to win the IPL this year. Watson is a man who won't play consistently well in all matches. But once he clicks, he will certainly win the match for you. He is one of the most explosive batsmen in current cricket. He bowls well too. 

Apart from these batsmen, Rajasthan is relieved to have good bowlers like Cooper and Faulkner. All they lack is a quality spinner. Overall Rajasthan looks favourite to win but they are not that good in away matches and looking at the way Hyderabad would be desperate to win this one; the home team seems to have an upper hand.
