Dilshan has left the team to join the Sri Lankan squad which is on a tour to England.


KKR is led by Gautam Gambhir. He is also declared as the captain of Indian cricket team which will tour West Indies in June. He will be the skipper for T20 and ODI matches. Regarding IPL, his team stands on the fourth position and he would like to clinch a win here and strengthen the position further.

There is nothing much we could say about DC. They stand on the last position in the points tally. A win here would not affect much of their standings. They are almost out of this tournament. But still we can't consider this as a match of mismatches. Because MI are also seen losing out on easy ones recently. A win here for DC would be a consolation. 


MI have played 11 matches and won 8. They are currently positioned on 2nd spot under CSK, having played one match less than CSK. A win here will take them to the top position.


Overall we could say, Saturday brings two matches which features 3 teams from the current top 4. So naturally good matches on hand.

Kings Eleven Punjab annouces final squad for IPL 2011

Kings XI Punjab has announced their 23 member final squad which will feature in the IPL 2011. The team will be lead by Adam Gilchrist and Michael Bevan would be the coach of the team. Both of them are from Australia.

Kings XI Punjab COO Col Arvinder Singh said that all the players selected for Kings XI Punjab have distinctive qualities which will bring a new vigour and perspective to the game. This variety will promise the fans an enthralling and full of action season of IPL 2011.

Taibu learnt a lot from Ganguly and Ponting during his IPL days

Just after scoring a 90 plus score against Canada in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 group match, Zimbabwean batsman Tatenda Taibu said that he has learnt a lot from Kolkata Knight Rider players such as Ganguly and Ponting.

He said that he isn't disappointed that he won't be a part of IPL 2011 but he has fond memories of playing for KKR. He still remembers the good time he spent in the dressing room with the likes of Ganguly and Ponting.

He added that he would love to meet Sourav Ganguly whenever he is in Kolkata.

Jayawardene to captain Kochi
