Kings XI Punjab take on Delhi Daredevils in a must win match. Mumbai Indians have again clinched the top position in points table and Chennai slips to second while Rajasthan to third. But these three teams are already in play-offs. It would be really interesting to see now who makes it to the fourth position. Will it be Royal Challengers Bangalore or Sunrisers Hyderabad? Kings XI still have a chance mathematically if they win both their matches and hope the other two contenders lose their matches.
Adam Gilchrist who was in woeful form was due for a big knock. And he finally came alive with with an unbeaten 85 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. They absolutely spoiled the party of RCB. Now RCB finds them in a difficult situation from where they can also be eliminated out of the league if they don't win their next match.
Shaun Marsh and David Miller are another two attractions from Kings XI Punjab. They have scored good number of runs this year and we can't forget Miller's magical innings this year when he scored 100 off just 38 balls. Mandeep Singh has contributed well too. In the bowling department, Piyush Chawla, Praveen Kumar and Azhar Mahmood are doing a descent job. This team has the calibre to beat out of form Delhi Daredevils and stay in the race of play-offs.
Meanwhile Delhi Daredevils who finished top of the table last year, has been completely disappointing this year. A survey says Virender Sehwag has been the biggest flop this year followed by Ricky Ponting and Yuvraj Singh. Apart from his innings of 95 runs against Mumbai Indians, he hasn't done anything good for the team. David Warner has played well this year but he always lacked support from the other end. Morne Morkle who clinched the purple cap last year looks ineffective this year.
Overall we can see that Punjab are the favourites to win but we never know. Just the way Pune defeated Kolkata Knight Riders, we can expect another upset here. Let us hope for another nail biter.
