IPL 2013 Live Streaming News

With IPL 2013 soon to kick off, teams have new players, new coaches as well as new strategies to bring the best out of them. With several changes also comes in leadership changes for few teams. In recent advancements, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore have announced changed in captaincy.

Mumbai Indians recently bought Ricky Ponting who has been one of the most successful captains in International cricket. So it was pretty clear that he may also be handed over the captaincy. After Sachin  moved out of the captaincy responsibility, Harbhajan had a fair run. He won Champions League for his team but couldn't manage to win the IPL last year. Now Ricky Ponting has been handed over the responsibility of leading the Mumbai Indians.

Ricky Ponting has retired from International cricket and now he can completely concentrate on Mumbai Indians. He was bought at a base price of $400,000. It would be a lovely sight to see two great batsmen batting together in one team where Ponting would captain the side and Sachin can give his best without the burden of captaincy.

Meanwhile Royal Challengers Bangalore have also announced change in captaincy. Virat Kohli who is in form will replace Daniel Vettori as the skipper of RCB. Vettori captained the side for two years 2011 and 2012 after Anil Kumble retired from IPL. Although Kohli had captained the side ten times in the past but this would be the first time he would be a full fledged captain.

Whenever Vettori was replaced by Muralitharan in the past, Kohli handled the captaincy and he managed six wins out of ten matches. Virat Kohli was extremely pleased to know that he would be captaining the side. As far as his individual IPL record is concerned, Kohli has scored 1639 runs with an average of above 28.

IPL kicks off from 3rd April 2013. So stay tuned for IPL 2013 live streaming score.
