There is a bad news for Kings XI Punjab as their skipper Adam Gilchrist is ruled out due to an injury. David Hussey could be the captain in his absence. Batting has been disappointing for Punjab so far. Gilchrist, Valthaty, Mandeep Singh, etc have all failed. The only batsmen who looks in good form is Shaun Marsh but he needs support from the other end. Finally the visa problem of Azhar Mahmood has been solved. So he can play all over India in this IPL and his inclusion can be a plus point for Punjab.
Bowling for Kings Eleven has been better in comparison to their batting. Mascarenhas, Harmeet Singh, Praveen Kumar and leg spinner Chawla have all been impressive in patches. Punjab has managed to win just two matches so far, one against Pune Warriors and the other against Kolkata Knight Riders. Although Royal Challengers Bangalore seem to be the favourites tonight but Kings Eleven Punjab are tough opponents to beat on their home turf in Mohali.
