Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings being the top two teams this year in IPL, will play against each other in the 1st Qualifier. Just a change in IPL format this year, makes entry into the finals a cake-walk, if a team can finish in top two. Winner of the 1st qualifier tonight will get a direct entry into the finals.
RCB looks favourite as they defeated CSK day before yesterday, again thanks to a brilliant knock from Chris Gayle. At the same time, we shouldn't forget that CSK has been the best team in IPL history in terms of win and loss ratio and they are the defending champions also. Above all, they have always been through to knock out stages in all the previously played IPLs.
One thing both the team can enjoy is a stress less play tonight. A win would certainly take a team to the final. But a loss here doesn't eliminate the team. The loser tonight will play against the winner of Mumbai Indians Vs Kolkata Knight Riders match. An added advantage as it provides one more chance to enter the final.

He has blasted in all the innings and dismantled the opposition with his powerful batting display. CSK has won more at home than away. This would be a concern for them. They haven't lost any match at home and fortunately the final is to be played in Chennai this year. But for that they have to make it to the finals by winning tonight. A good knock from Badrinath and Raina is awaited. Dhoni and Hussey are in good form.
Undoubtedly CSK would love to get Gayle out at the earliest after having some good amount of runs on the board. Certainly this match would provide us the best cricketing treat as the top two quality teams battle it out for a place in the finals.
