Mumbai vs Punjab and Chennai vs Bangalore - IPL Super Saturday

IPL Live Match Streaming

Now this certainly has to be the best IPL Saturday in this edition. Mumbai and Chennai are already through and also happen to be the top two team who will face off in the first qualifier. But for pride they will try to win their respective matches today and battle it out to finish on the top of points table. On the other hand the one of the opponents viz Bangalore is striving hard to secure the fourth position in points table and reach the eliminators.

Match 1 - Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab will play for pride at Dharamsala and take on one of the strongest teams this year, Mumbai Indians. This could also be the last game of one of the most exciting players you would ever see viz. Adam Gilchrist. Punjab is high on confidence after beating RCB in Bangalore and then beating Delhi Daredevils as well. The team clicked a bit late or they could have made it to the top four.

David Miller has done a great job for his team. He averages more than 66 in 11 matches. Even couple of other positive developments for this team lately have been Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh. Gilchrist was in woeful form this season. But he scored very well in last couple of matches. Shaun Marsh has always been a classy player and he proves his worth every year. Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla need to get regular breakthroughs today if they have to beat Mumbai Indians.

Everything is falling in place for Mumbai and all they need to do is continue this with consistency till the end. A small wayward step and they can find themselves knocked out! Pollard is in superb form and he can turn tables on the opposition on any given day. Malinga who looks out of form can prove vital in last few matches. Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik are doing a consistently good job with the bat.

Match 2 - Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

These two teams always produce the best of cricket matches when they meet each other. These mighty teams face off and pull huge number of spectators to the stadium. With the likes of powerful hitters like Dhoni and Gayle, this is pretty obvious. And also you could see the class of Kohli, Hussey, Raina or AB de Villiers.

RCB had a good season before they slipped in their performance and seemed as if they would be knocked out. Still they are facing a tough competition from Sunrisers Hyderabad. All RCB can do is win today's match keeping their net run rate better than Hyderabad and expect Hyderabad to lose their next one. This would bring RCB in the play-offs and they will face Rajasthan Royals in the first eliminator. Virat Kohli has been disappointed with the team's performances in last few games and he accepted that they really have to pull up their socks now.

On the other hand if Mumbai losses today to Punjab and Chennai wins here then Chennai will finish at the top of the table. Chennai has been as good as Mumbai this year. They have won several matches and have been the team to beat. Hussey has been in brilliant form and there are three to four matches where Dhoni proved his worth with powerful hitting in the end. With players like Raina, Jadeja, Bravo and Vijay; this team always looks pretty strong.
