The other two teams which would compete tonight will be Royal Challengers Bangalore (6th position) and Chennai Super Kings (5th position).

1st Match: Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab

Mumbai Indians would love to be back on the winning track if they could defeat Punjab at Mohali. It has been observed in this IPL that teams are winning more when they play away from home. So this could be a golden opportunity for Mumbai Indians to keep their play offs hopes alive. James Franklin would play better as an opener with Sachin Tendulkar. Powerful hitting from Pollard can help Mumbai's winning wish. Biggest plus point for Mumbai has always been the bowling. But it looks a bit vulnerable in the absence of Malinga. Munaf Patel, Harbhajan and RP Singh need to bowl accurately today.

Kings Eleven Punjab defeated Mumbai on 22nd April in Mumbai. They clinched a win by 6 wickets. Shaun Marsh has played the biggest role in Punjab's wins. He has scored 199 runs so far. Some notable performances came from Azhar Mahmood, Nitin Saini and Mandeep Singh. David Hussey needs to click today with his bat. Also a good bowling performance is expected from Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla.

2nd Match: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings

This is going to be an outstanding face off. Whenever these two teams have played against each other, we have seen a flow of runs! Last time they played each other, we saw a mouth watering contest with Chennai chasing 200 plus runs to beat Bangalore.

Chennai Super Kings had a bad start this year but they managed to get on track. Francois Du Plesis is in exceptional form as CSK's opening batsman and he stands second on highest run scorer's tally. He is very much alive in the race of the 'Orange Cap' which is currently held by Rajasthan Royals' Ajinkya Rahane. Chennai has a long batting line up comprising of Raina, Dhoni, Bravo, Morkel and Badrinath. They also have a good bowling department consisting of Bravo, Bollinger, Ashwin, Jadeja and Jakati. Chennai still looks one of the favourites to clinch this year's IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has a powerhouse called Chris Gayle who can be destructive today. He gets a very good support of another quick scorers like AB de Villiers and T. Dilshan. Once Virat Kohli would hit form, this team would look the toughest to beat.
