Indian Premier League (IPL) started its successful journey from 2008. Right from its first edition, the tournament achieved great heights of success. It was acclaimed world wide as cricket fans were excited to see world class players from different countries playing under same teams. No one could have imagined that Jayasuriya would open with Tendulkar or Hayden would play under the captaincy of Dhoni. IPL successfuly enters into its seventh edition in 2014.

IPL 2009 winners - Deccan Chargers defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the finals.

IPL 2010 winners - Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians to be the IPL winners.

IPL 2011 winners - Chennai Super Kings became winners for second consecutive time as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the finals.

IPL 2012 winners - Chennai Super Kings entered their third consecutive finals but they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders.

IPL 2013 winners - Once again Chennai Super Kings reached the finals but this time they were beaten by Mumbai Indians.
