IPL 2010 Cricket
IPL's third edition begins on 12th of March 2010. Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Deccan Chargers at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai in the opener.
Trinidian Kieron Pollard received the highest pay package from Mumbai while quick bowler Shane Bond will play for Kolkata Knight Riders. Delhi Daredevils will play with a formidable batting line up including Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Warner, Dilshan & De Villiers. Nehra and Nannes will take care of the bowling department.
Chennai Super Kings is badly hit by injury woes as injured Flintoff and Jacob Oram won't be playing this year's IPL. Still they have good players like Dhoni, Raina, Hayden, etc. Not to forget their bowling attack consisting of Murali and Ntini.
Royal Challengers have very good players like Pieterson, Taylor, Dravid, Cameron White, Kallis, Mark Boucher, etc. Last year they lost the finals to Deccan Chargers. The team is very well led by the captain Anil Kumble.
Gilchrist and Gibbs alongwith Symonds are hard hitting players ready with all guns blazing for Deccan Charges. They are the defending champions.
Mumbai Indians performance has been dissapointing in last two editions but they can turn tables with players like Sachin Tendulkar, Jayasuriya, Duminy, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Malinga and Duminy.
The champions in the first edition, Rajasthan Royals, led by Shane Warne will have a lot of hopes from Graeme Smith, Shaun Tait and Shane Watson.
Kings XI Punjab is a hard hitting team with stars like Yuvraj and Sangakkara.
Lets hope Kolkata Knight Riders forget their dismal performances in the past and come up with something spectacular this year. Dav Whatmore will be their new coach and Ganguly will take care of the captaincy. Gayle and McCullum will be a great support to him.
